Antonio is back, continuing his tales of life as a 26 year old guy from Portugal, who also happens to have HIV. Following his alluring journeys experiencing different cities around the world, from Lisbon to London, we now join him in Barcelona where he is working, studying and of course not forgetting to reap the benefits of living in a city where sun, charm and passion are at your fingertips...

Once again new life, and new reality! This is getting a bit common for me but I've changed city again! This time I'm in Barcelona. Sunny Barcelona; Urban Barcelona; Trendy Barcelona.... or at least that was what I thought! The city is amazing and yes we have the beach - artificial, but we have the beach - but still the city sells it self as a very trend Mecca for different kinds of people but the reality is way different than that. After having the fantastic experience of living in London, and being bombarded with quite a lot of new and different stuff, being here it's nothing much really. It's a very facade city where you can compare it with the balconies or the fronts of the buildings - breathe taking and very interesting, but when you get inside.... kinda crap really! The people aren't that trendy. I think what gives it the special feeling has to be the foreigners, because the locals are quite normal and very southern. As a southern boy myself I know what I'm talking about! If you were something more different you'll get noticed and people stare at you - u never get this in London, where u can get naked on the street and nobody seems to care! :)

But nothing is all that bad of course. There’s a good quality of life here and I see myself having a great time, especially with what I've got - with being "special"! The rhythm of life is much more relaxed, you've got time for everything, you can find interesting things to do with your friends and enjoy the day at its fullest. People my age are nice and friendly - the mentality is way different from the English one, where you can meet someone, somewhere, talk for hours and then you continue your life. Here bonds grow and you can actually stay friends with people... and get invited to their homes. In that sense its better..... that's has been great because it has made me start thinking about what I've got... it made me change quite a lot....
