Sasha

Sasha, because she is the best female singer have ever heard.

Prof. Dora Akunyili

Prof. Dora Akunyili is my inspirational woman.why? in her i see women can express their deep desires for a better nation in our then men's world and live and not exist that is we can dream of being educated and be educated, dream great, have visions and work to realize those visions. we can no longer be the women who gives the kitchen-household impact but also the societal-national nad international impact for the betterment of humanity.

Beyonce

Beyonce because she has the perfect character and a good talented voice that touches the soul.

Oprah Winfrey

OPRAH WINFERY, she lives to put smiles on peoples, families and the world's face. She's not living for her self. I AM INSPIRED BY THAT.

Oprah W. she is just da best because she has touched alot of lifes with her tv programme, orphanage campaign e.t.c

My Mom

My mother is my inspirational woman. She is very nice!

Beth Joss

Mrs Beth Joss. Because she is full of grace.

My Sister

My inspirational woman is my younger sister. She tested HIV+ after a man she was seeing blatantly lied and infected her. I was worried that she wouldn't be able to deal with it - i could barely deal with it - but she did and she's been HIV+ for 2 years now and her strength and her ability to still pursue her dreams and succeed inspires me. Her life hasn't been easy, prior to being infected by her then boyfriend, she was raped during a robbery. But she still continues to be strong and focussed. She doesn't let being HIV+ sway her, instead she uses it to enjoy and live every day like it's lost. She focussess on being happy and i think too many of us take that for granted. And for that reason she is my inspirational woman.

My Sisters

My sisters: Mary, Anna, Natasha.
Because we hold it down! Through troubles we have each others backs and are stronger than the boys anyway! And all of us have played our part in establishing Trendsetters in Zambia as the brand it is and in so doing, played a role in shaping the young generation in our country.

Immigrant Women

My inspiration women are all imigrant womenor or that have their husbands imigrated. They either reunite with their families in foreign countries or stay home having the man of the house provide for the familie in other countries. They are so strong and to me role models

My Sisters

Enough respect goes to my sisters, Mary, Cathy and Anna Phiri, founders of Youth Media and the Trendsetters brand! But that's already been taken! But my deepest inspiration goes to my Mum, who has already lived a thousand battles and who keeps smiling everyday! She has a heart of gold and even when she does something we all think is mad, you can't help but love her for it! She's my heroine!

My Mother

My role- model who enspires me the most is my mother. :) She has been through so much and now she is a manager and owner of a massive company in Nigeria! Even when my sister was nearly dying of type+++ malaria she travelled up to 50 miles to see her in her boarding school, and at the time there was a strike on petrol and she had to use ocada's and dunfo buses(which are very dangerous) to get there. Even when I feel like giving up she always finds a way to cheer me up. She also had to travel to India just to buy a packaging machine for the factory, in the night (and usually during the day) NEPA cuts power of and we'll be working in the dark using candles. She hardly got any sleep doing all the manual work then.
I also love my elder sister, I am so proud of her, shes 16 in college and when she gets to university she is to find a cure for many of the sickness in Africa, to help her fellow peole out(she even wants to find a cure for AIDS). LOL. But you never know:) Thank you for listening.

Mamie Pack

Mamie Pack, She is a wonderful young lady inside and out. She has the words that touch your soul when you are feeling down and need some uplifting she is there. She is positive in every situation. She can be miles away and not able to call you, but she will always remember your birthday and send a card. It is rare to meet someone that has the balance of spirituality and life, and still able to maintain a marriage, raise three boys, and be a wonderful friend.

My Mother

My mother, she is always there for me and would give me the shirt off of herback. I can call her at any hour and she will give me the words that will settle my mind and soul. She is always there and I love her for being my mother.

Ana María

When I am asked who the most inspirational woman I've ever met is, I always reply the same. Despite her age and the difficulties she faces in life, my friend Ana María proves that one does not have to be a 25-year-old Spanish ballerina to feel flamenco. She's always been in love with culture; however, she had to quit some of the things she enjoyed when she got married. Now, at 74, she has retaken the flamenco she left behind more than fifty years ago, and plans on stomping until her body forbids her to continue. It was until she was in her forties and wanted to take her children on vacations that she learned how to drive and how to swim, and that she even took up rhythmic gymnastics. Nowadays, her children are adults, and they could not be even more thankful for all the things she gave them. She currently spends her time between chores and doctor visits, for her son and husband are very ill; however, she is never late for flamenco lesson.

With each stomp of her feet, she makes sure to be dancing into eternity: the eternity of the struggle for progress, for freedom, for happiness. I, one of her classmates, look up to her for many reasons. I hope the world will pay attention to examples of women that, like her, never surrendered their dreams to limitations, and that one day I can be as strong as her.

Niema Gantt-Brown

Niema Gantt-Brown. she is a mother of three, wife, full time student working on her master's in public administration degree, full time clerk-treasurer for the town of hollywood, sc, dedicted to exploring life and conquering possibilities. she is the oldest of seven children from a divided household originated in Manhattan, New York; now living in North Charleston, SC for the past 1o consecutive years. She has over-come boundaries achieving goals and setting positive standards others have and will continue to follow. Her smile welcomes you to cry on her shoulder and her advice, however "real" is alays right on time. Loving, unselfish, fun to be around; yet serious about life.

Caroline Kowa

No matter what is trying to pull her down, she always rubs it off to open her arms for us. My sister's and I at the capital city, sometimes miss our traditional food and it forces I us to travel 10 hours by bus to taste Momma's cooking. She keeps the culture alive and who knows better than her?...

Lara Logan

Lara Logan. She's a reporter who goes to war-stricken countries to report on what's going on and whether there are efforts to rebuild the lives of the innocents. I think she's truly inspirational because she risks her life for her passion of reporting, and she wants to help those who are caught in the war, by helping them or creating awareness about their situation.

Natalia Cales

All women are inspirational, but I have chosen to nominate in this particular instance, Ms. Natalia Cales. Ms. Cales has taken incredible risks in changing careers to focus her total attention to leading the fight against HIV/AIDS in her community. Having lost her mother to the disease, she has made a life long and unwavering commitment to see that other women are aware of the risks, and help empower them to help eliminate them from their lives and communities. To this end, she help found and one of the few community based organizations in her state, has gained attention from the media and is inspiring others to follow.

Professor Dora Akunyili

My inspirational woman is Professor Dora Akunyili, the chairman of National Agency For Food, Drugs Administration And Control(NAFDAC), in Nigeria. She is a galant woman with vision. She abhors sacrificing human life on the altar of money. She stands firmly on her position of ensuring food, drug and water security in Nigeria. She has a large heart and gives out largess to young people. History will never forget her. She a mother extra-ordinaire.

All the women of Africa, they bear the burdens of poverty, disease(read HIV/AIDS)and still bring up their kids esp the girls to be warriors. They keep hope alive in a continent that is rich in all the resources you can imagine yet so poor. They aspire to be nothing but great daughters, sisters, wives and mothers. Yes those are my inspirational women-the women of Africa!

Because she is more than just an model\actress. She is talented in every areas she works, and, she has a heart of the size of the world. She's not scared to go where she is needed and she is helping everyday to show the world, that, even these days, there are many people on this world that aren't as lucky as those who live in western countries. She is an inspiration and that is why she's my nomination

An inspirational woman in my life is my best friend of 15 yrs +, Ms. Agnes Rivers. Despite many trials in her life, Agnes has always managed to overcome the odds. Unlike me, she is sometimes very reserved and quite, but can get her voice heard if needed. I am so very proud of her many accomplishments, especially finishing her graduate degree at the Citadel in Charleston, SC. I know she has many future goals and plans to achieve in the near future. My wish to her today is much success and happiness. I hope we remain best friends forever always!
