We know that Staying Alive programming is entertaining and can be educational. We also know (because an independent evaluation by Family Health International said so) that the programming is more impactful when it’s discussed in groups and people have the opportunity to engage with the issues. So knowing all this and the fact that we get so many requests for Staying Alive videos to be used for peer education, we have this dedicated space for all our programming that comes with teaching guides. In this space you can download the guides and watch the videos that go with them. If you don’t already have the videos, drop us an email and we’ll send you a copy – free of charge.
We’re continuously looking to improve our service so please let us know how the guides work for you and really any suggestions are welcome!
Transit is a 90-minute film that looks at the intricate relationships of eight young people and how HIV spreads across continents. This guide is to be used after your group watches the film - it will help you to take a deeper look at the issues raised. It also includes some key life-skills building exercises such as decision making and goal setting. The guide is easy to follow and includes step-by-step instructions. Watch Transit below and download the teaching kit on the link above.
