Virginity

Some Facts...
Technically, a virgin is someone who hasn’t had penetrative (vaginal or anal) sexual intercourse. Oral sex, while still a form of sex, does not affect your virginity.
Having sex for the first time is a big step, and you should make sure you are completely ready and comfortable with your partner before doing ‘it’. Never give into pressure from your peers or your partner to do anything you’re not totally happy with doing. Remember, once you’ve ‘lost’ your virginity you can’t get it back however hard you try, so make sure you don’t do anything before you’re absolutely sure it’s the right time, and person, for you.
If do decide to have sex, firstly and most importantly, ALWAYS USE A CONDOM. No matter what people may tell you, you CAN get pregnant and catch STIs such as HIV even if you’re having sex for the very first time.
Some people try and ‘preserve’ their virginity by having anal instead of virginal sex. This is never a good idea as, apart from the fact that this could still be classed as losing your virginity, anal sex carries a very high risk of infection from STIs, including HIV.
If in any doubt, wait, and make sure you’re aware of any laws in your country that you or your partner may be breaking by having sex below the legal minimum age.
