Sexuality

Whatever You Are...

Never be ashamed of your sexuality. If you’re straight, gay, bisexual or just not sure yet – don’t worry. It’s very common as you go through puberty to want to shag anything that moves, and you may find yourself getting pretty confused trying to work out your ‘true’ sexuality.

Well, the good news is you shouldn’t worry. You’ll eventually discover what (and who) gets your motor running, and in the meantime it can be quite fun finding out!

Stuff To Bear In Mind

  • Just because you fancy someone of the same sex, it doesn’t mean you’re gay. Plenty of girls fancy Angelina Jolie and plenty of boys dream of having a bit of a snuggle with Christian Ronaldo, but in most cases they’re just teenage crushes. And even if it is something more, it really doesn't matter!
  • You can’t change your sexuality. You are what you are, so don’t fight it, be proud of it.
  • It can be hard telling your mates if you don’t fancy the same people they do - don’t feel you have to if you’re not comfortable.
  • Don’t think you’re the only one having these thoughts; plenty of others around you are too. Really!
  • Telling your parents can be another toughie, and we can’t really tell you when the ‘right’ time is. If you think they might not understand, or might react badly, then you might want to try talking to another relative first and seek their advice on how t

Oh Boy!

If you’re a boy who likes boys, then that’s cool, but don’t feel it means you have to start shagging straight away. There’s plenty of good stuff you can get up without going all the way, including kissing, cuddling and masturbation.

But if you do move on to oral or anal sex, the absolute golden rule is to ALWAYS USE A CONDOM. Really, write that down and keep it on you at all times, just in case you forget - it’s the most important advice we can give you.

Girls Allowed

There are plenty of ways to get up to some lady lovin’ without actually having sex. Kissing, cuddling and fondling can be enough on their own, but if you want to take it further you can try touching (including ‘fingering’) and oral sex.

Both only carry a low level risk of spreading STIs, but ensure you don’t have any cuts or scratches on your hands and use a dental dam to be really sure.

Sex toys such as beads and vibrators are also a lot of fun and are safe on their own, just make sure you keep them clean, only use your own and don’t share to prevent spreading any nasty diseases.
