Drugs are a pain in the ass. They might be fun to take once in a while, but once you start taking them regularly, chances are things will get messy.
Lots of people take drugs occasionally and have no major side effects, other people however take drugs for the first time and have a bad reaction – some even die. The worst thing is, if you’ve never taken drugs before you just don’t know how you’re going to react.
The main thing to bear in mind is that you have the freedom to do whatever you want, and if you don’t want to take drugs, you shouldn’t let anyone force you into it.
Isa, 24 from Poland says:
I remember when I was at school and college – all my friends used to take drugs at weekends. They were always trying to get me to do them too but I managed to steer clear just by standing my ground and saying no. Yes, they did take the piss out of me, but I got over it – it didn’t stop me being their friend. Most of my friends stopped taking drugs but some of them carried on; unfortunately it does start to affect your life… for example most of them stopped caring about their grades. They were considered the cool rebel at the time but all of them regret it now. I guess what I’m trying to say is that it’s definitely possible to say no to drugs – and turn out better for it!
Here are a few handy excuses to use when friends offer you drugs:
* say that you’ve seen what drugs have done to some of your friends, and you don’t want the same thing to happen to you.
* tell them that someone sent you a link to this website – you read about what drugs can do to you and it kind of freaked you out.
* suggest something more exciting to do.
* Depending on what sort of friends you have tell them the truth; that you’re just not into it.
If these excuses don’t work and you still feel pressured, then find someone to talk to, like a counsellor who can confidentially help you out. You really don’t ever have to do anything you don’t want to do.

Well sometimes everybody has to try something new But well never never Let your kids take drugs And if you see someone and he/she Ask you "DO YOU WANT SOME?" Please say NO!!
