One Night Only

How many people have one night stands?

The media, portrays casual sex as something that everyone does – but rarely does it talk about the consequences, well unless there’s just been a new round of ‘shocking research’ released!

There are loads of things to take into consideration before you jump into the sack…

The main two ones are pregnancy and STIs…

Well, luckily, there’s a pretty simple solution for these two – and it’s using a condom. Yep, condoms are the only form of contraception that protect you from both pregnancy and STIs, including HIV. They’re not 100% reliable – but they’re damn near close… Be prepared, always carry a condom with you, there’s nothing worse than being caught short.

The other thing that you’ve got be prepared for with one nighters is rejection – having sex with someone is a pretty big deal… Not always, but most of the time, when it’s a one night stand, you’re not going to go on and have a long, meaningful relationship with that person. If he or she doesn’t call you, you just have to face it – that’s the reality. Make sure you can deal with that before you put out!

One thing I would advise, is not to go for it if you’ve been drinking. Not only are you less likely to use a condom, but you might also decide someone is attractive, when they’re really not!

Has anyone got any one night stand stories to share? Write them below!
Was it a good or bad experience? We want to know!

Thanx for the advice. its good for people to be prepared before they have sex that the experience may end up as a one night stand. Unfortunately as most people may think.. most one night stands are not planned to be so.they happen when u have sex with a person and realise it was not what u expected thus u may not want to repeat the experience.its good to have both physical(condoms) and emotional protection... this goes to both my sistes and brothers out there

i used to have a lot of one night stands and because i used condoms i wasn't worried about sti's or pregnancy, but it's the emotional rejection that is the worst for me. after awhile it takes its toll and you feel like such a slut. men can have one night stands and no one says anything, but as a woman you always get labelled. and why would you want to do something so special with someone who doesn't care about you anyway. women we do need to treat our bodies like temples - it sounds preachy, but trust me, you'll regret it if you don't. i did.
